CMS_onlyWhen deciding on a content management system (CMS) to recommend for an organization, we start by closely reviewing your goals and objects. The determination for choosing one system over another is a combination of budget, functionality and organizational goals.

Content Management Systems

When installing our own systems for a website we make a CMS recommendation based on a client’s needs and recommend Drupal, Word Press or Joomla in the opensource arena or recommend larger CRM systems distributed by Blackbaud or Convio. The determination for these systems is a combination of budget and functionality.

Besides the default installation of these systems, we’ve created software enhancements for our clients that ‘plug-in’ to the CMS as a component, module or stand-alone application.

Enhancements (partial list)

  • Mobile application content management hub: One application login controls content across multiple websites as well as on mobile applications.
  • Content delivery for class structure: The delivery of content to specific students via iPad and iPhone based on course structure and schedule. Designed to handle unlimited on-going virtual classes and display up to 15 different segments of content with unlimited content types.
  • Member database: Primarily for chambers and member organizations that allow for member management, category searches, mapping and coupon downloads.
  • Ecommerce membership content: Pricing structure allowing a person to sign-up and have specific content access based on pricing structure. Allowed for advertising based on location, mapping, custom searches and pricing management.
  • Advertising engine: Designed to allow advertising across members based on location, impressions and pricing structure. Included time-stamping, tracking, image management, etc.
  • Member access with personalized URL pages: Member sign-up, payment and creation of personalized URL pages where content is delivered by other paying “company” members.
